Proverbs 24:19-20. "Fret not yourself because of evilldoers, and be not envious of the wicked; for the evil man has no future; the lamp of the wicked will be put out."

I find it so hard not to fret about the evildoers! I didn't used to, I used to be able to kind of block it out, but now the evil is so prevalent and is affecting so many areas of our lives, threatening our children, our livelihoods, everything really, that it is hard not to think about it. But I know this proverb is right - the evil man has no future, and the evil in this world has no future.

I truly believe that the wickedness we are seeing is largely the work of the devil (with, of course, fallen man's cooperation), and we know the devil has no future. He knows this, too, and I think he knows the time of his "present" is growing short, which is why he is acting out so much right now.

So I will try not to fret. God has everything in control, and He will eventually put out the lamp of the wicked.
