Sirach 34:4-5. "From an unclean thing, what will be made clean? And from something false, what will be true?"
This comes amid a warning from Sirach against believing in dreams, "Unless they are sent from the Most High as a visitation" (Sirach 34:6). As someone who has been having occasional portentious dreams for years now, and several just recently, this brought me up short. Is God telling me not to give heed to them? I don't think so. When I read on to the part where Sirach says don't believe dreams unless they are from the Most High, I had my answer.
When all of this started happening to me, I struggled a lot with wondering whether my dreams, feelings, and "messages" were from God or from the evil one or just dreams, nothing more. But God led me to Saint Ignatius of Loyola and the practice of the discernment of spirits, which has been a tremendous blessing to me. As I practice discernment, I become more and more able to know God's voice. There are times the devil tries to sneak in, I can see that now; and my own pride and self will are a risk, as well. But God is persistent! When He wants to give a give us a message, He keeps giving it, and giving us the tools to figure it out, until we get it!
