Hosea 4:4-10. Through Hosea, God is chastising his people for once again falling into great sin. Because of it, the land and all creatures are languishing. But, God says, don't contend with or accuse each other, God's contention is with his priests, because "My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge." So God rejects them from being priests to him, and because they have not taught God's children properly, his children will be forgotten too. Because of the failure of the priests, the more the people increase, the more they sin. God will turn their glory into shame. "They shall eat but not be satisfied; they shall play the harlot, but not multiply."
We, too, have fallen into great sin and we are beginning to be punished for it. Is it the priests' fault? It certainly isn't every priest's fault - there are so, so many wonderful, inspirational priests in our Church, and even just ordinary, hardworking, good priests who are there for their flock, guiding them through the stormy moments of life. But the Church leadership as a whole, as our "priests," have they been allowing the Church's children to be lacking knowledge? Are they tolerating our sinful ways, and through failure of correction and leadership allowing us to be destroyed? In many ways they are, it is quite obvious. So God is in the process of shaking them up - you can see it in all that is going on in the Church.
Meanwhile, though, as his children who have gone very far astray, we are languishing. Since the more we increased, the more we sinned against him, now we are eating and not being satisfied, playing the harlot but not multiplying. As to this last part, I have many thoughts. My feelings of a coming time of radical change (maybe even end times) that started about four years ago were tied to this. It came to me that, because we have taken creation into our own hands with "free sex," birth control, and abortion; because we think we can "play the harlot" without consequences, and have made that so by prevalent birth control and abortion on demand up to the moment of birth, God is going to take the power of participation in his creation away from us.
These feelings seem to be being born out. Male fertility is falling drastically worldwide, to very dangerous levels; birth rates in many developed countries are at non-replacement levels; we export our sinful ways to nations who have healthy birth rates, sending them birth control and funds for abortion; birth control in the water supply is massive, and is not being fully tested because we really don't want to know the answers, but it is resulting in "transgender" fish and affecting the fertility of fish in the second and third generations of exposure (God visits "the iniquity of the fathers upon the children to the third and fourth generation." Deuteronomy 5:8-10).
Now we have this huge, completely overblown and unreasonable push for universal vaccination against a virus with an over 99% survival rate. This vaccine push, the lying and propaganda surrounding it, the silencing of any competing viewpoints, and the panic and extreme overreaction to everything relating to COVID-19, simply do not make any sense to me, and have not from the very beginning. I could not see why God was letting the whole world suffer like this due to the lies and greed of some small group of people (or whoever is behind this - I do not know what people are to blame, but I do know it is ultimately the devil behind it all).
However, when I started hearing about the potential effects of the vaccine on fertility, some puzzle pieces started to fall into place in my head. Many doctors and scientists have raised concerns about the possible effects of this vaccine on future fertility. We obviously cannot know until a sufficient amount of time has gone by, but in a metaphysical sense, it would not surprise me at all if that was the case. As alarm bells and warnings are ignored in a massive push for universal vaccination that is very clearly not necessary, there must be some reason why God is permitting people to be so deceived and deceptive. And perhaps this is it - he is taking away our power of procreation, he was doing it slowly, at first, but now it is accelerating.
I can't say we don't deserve it, we have divorced sex from procreation and encourage our children to pursue personal gratification and "pride" (the worst of the sins!). The Church leadership has not been helpful in this, and is not being a good shepherd to the flock. And so we find ourselves here. But part of this, too, is that if the end times are beginning, falling birth rates will mean that there will be fewer people to suffer through it, so that is a good thing. God is love, so anything he permits is for our own good, ultimately.
