Isaiah 40:27. "Why do you say, O Jacob, and speak, O Israel, 'My way is hid from the Lord, and my right is disregarded by my God?"
None of us are hidden from the Lord (although at times, we might want to be!). None of us is disregarded by God. His eyes are on us always, looking at us with love, pleading with us to return to Him if we have gone astray. Like the prodigal son's father, He waits for us always to return. Unlike the prodigal son's father, He sees us exactly where we are: when we are squandering our inheritance, He watches us with love; when we are feeding the pigs, starving and lonely; He watches us with love; when we are celebrating at the meal He has prepared for us, He watches us with love.
We are never hidden, we are never alone, we are never disregarded. The all-powerful watches us with love always, and lets us experience anything and everything we have to in order to come back to His care and concern. "He does not faint or grow weary, his understanding is unsearchable." (Isaiah 40:28)
