Ezekiel 7:21. "And I will give it into the hands of the foreigners for a prey, and to the wicked of the earth for a spoil; and they shall profane it."

The "it" here is the silver and gold of Israel which the people have fashioned into "abominable images" and "detestable things." It is, essentially, the wealth of the nation. This really ties in well with the reading from yesterday, in which God told us that the rich will go empty-handed to their graves. When we use the good things God has given us to fashion abominable images or to make or do detestable things, we will not only lose the good things, but we will be led by our misuse of them to our spiritual, and maybe even bodily, demise.

God blessed Israel with abundance, they had silver and gold in plenty, yet they used it to fashion idols. So God will take it from them and give it to their enemies, even while the enemies conquer and kill the Israelites. This, again, is spiritual physics. When we misuse God's gifts, it eventually leads to their loss and our downfall.
