2 Maccabees 15:7 "But Maccabees did not cease to trust with all confidence that he would get help from the Lord."

 

That's what we have to do, trust with all confidence that we will get help from the Lord. Anyone who has given themselves to the Lord is under His protective care. He will help us. It may not be at the time or in the way that we expect or think is necessary, but that does not matter at all. It will be in His time and in His way, which are exactly the right time and way.

 

We have to trust with all confidence, not in a doubting way. We cannot be of two minds as St James warns us. There is no hedging our bets with God, we have to be all in. Doubt creates weaknesses for the devil to worm his way in, vulnerabilities for our enemies to exploit. God's protection is there, but we have one foot outside of it when we doubt. So don't doubt Him! Trust in all confidence that God will help, and He most definitely will!
