1 Maccabees 6:41-42. "All who heard the noise made by their multitude, by the marching of the multitude and the clanking of their arms, trembled, for the army was very large and strong. But Judas and his army advanced to the battle, and six hundred men of the king's army fell."

Our enemies often seem to outnumber us, and almost always are equipped with the trappings of power. It is very easy to be intimidated by them, to "tremble" as they march, or, worse yet, to go over to their side. But if we know we are on God's side, and we trust in Him, none of their excess numbers or clanking arms will make any difference. We will advance into the battle protected by the armor of God, and His enemies will fall.
