Psalm 18:29 "Yea, by thee I can crush a troop; and by my God I can leap over a wall."

 

David is rejoicing in the power of God that flows into us when we are doing His will. When we are with God, as David was, nothing is impossible; if it is His will for us, we can overcome anything. If there is something that we do not overcome, that just means that it is not His will for us to do so. Sometimes this is because we have strayed a bit into our own will, but other times it is because something much bigger and better will result from our seeming failure.

 

Either way, when we give ourselves over wholly to God's will, we can feel this invincibility that David is describing. It comes from knowing that God's will is perfect, and He will accomplish all good things, using us to do so if we are with Him.
