Wisdom 6:15 "To fix one's thought on [Wisdom] is perfect understanding, And he who is vigilant on her account will soon be free from care."

 

I read a tweet yesterday that said our problem is not necessarily that our "elites" lack intelligence, but that they lack wisdom. I think that's right (although I do think some, maybe many, of our elites are a little short on intelligence as well).  Wisdom is seeing things as God does. It requires humility, which is definitely lacking in our elites. We have to let go of our own thought processes and let God fill us with understanding. So often that understanding is not at all what we would have come to on our own, and it even sometimes goes against what we have come to believe. But if we are vigilant in pursuing and accepting wisdom, everything becomes more peaceful as we come to understand that God's plan is playing out in the best way possible.
