Psalm 68:27 "There is Benjamin, the least of them, in the lead, the princes of Judah in their throng, the princes of Zebulon, the princes of Naphtali."

As David describes the solemn procession of God to His sanctuary (Psalm 68:24), he sees "Benjamin, the least of them, in the lead." The great princes of Judah, Zebulon, and Naphtali are in this joyous procession, as well, but Benjamin is leading them.

God always leads with the least of us. It reminds us that we are being led to Him. Mary was the humblest of women, yet she is now the Queen of Heaven and Earth. Jesus Himself led a poor and humble life. God not only chooses the least of us to lead, He became the least of us to lead us to salvation.

The princes have their own place in the procession, in their throng. They are happy, joyful, and loved. They have been given gifts and used them in accordance with God's will. They were leaders on earth, but for the procession to the sanctuary, a different kind of leader is called for; one who is the least, so all eyes will be led to the One who is most.
