2 Chronicles 6:32-33 "Likewise when a foreigner, who is not of thy people Israel, comes from a far country for the sake of thy great name, and thy mighty hand, and thy outstretched arm, when he comes and prays toward this house, hear thou from heaven thy dwelling place, and do according to all for which the foreigner calls to thee; in order that all the peoples of the earth may know thy name and fear thee, as do thy people Israel, and that they may know that this house which I have built is called by thy name."
Solomon is demonstrating the generosity of true love. He has built the Temple for the honor and glory of God and to give His people a place to properly worship Him, but even as he blesses this newly constructed marvel, he asks God to remember the foreigner who seeks Him out there. When we truly love God and experience the blessings of that love, we want to share it with everyone. We know, though, that there is something to be given by us, as well, we have to participate in His love, we feel His love to the extent we love Him. God does not stop loving us when we don't love Him, but we don't feel His love then, so we don't turn to Him in our trials and ask for His blessings.
Solomon, though, is talking about a foreigner who seeks God out; a non-Jew who comes to this Temple and asks for God's assistance; someone who has felt the love of God in his heart and is responding. Solomon is asking that this person be blessed in the same way God blesses His chosen people. This is the generosity of love. With true love, there is no need or desire to hold on to it jealously, it increases as we give it away.
