Judith 14:18 "The slaves have tricked us! One Hebrew woman has brought disgrace upon the house of King Nebuchadnezzar! For look, here is Holofernes lying on the ground, and his head is not on him!"

Bagos says the "slaves" (meaning Judith and her maid ) have tricked Nebuchadnezzar's encamped army, and that one Hebrew woman has brought disgrace upon the house of Nebuchadnezzar. And that’s true, that's the way God works! He uses the lowly, the slaves, the ones no one is expecting to accomplish great things.

Mary was also one Hebrew woman who, by giving her fiat, participated in a major way in bringing disgrace and defeat to the enemy of us all. Jesus Himself came as an infant, the child of a poor family. The lowly move under the radar of the rich and powerful. No one's attention is on the slaves, the single women, the lowly carpenter's Son, so they can work without interference until God is ready to reveal His plan. And when He does, it will be obvious that it was God who was acting, since one Hebrew woman could not have brought down Nebuchadnezzar's general, nor could one humble virgin give birth to the Son of God, without Him.
