Psalm 17:7. "Wondrously show thy steadfast love, O savior of those who seek refuge from their adversaries at thy right hand."

David is asking God to protect him from his enemies. He does not go out to confront these men who "track [him] down" and "set their eyes to cast [him] to the ground" (Psalm 17:11), but rather seeks refuge at God's right hand. David, a powerful king, does not use his power to go after the people scheming against him, but asks God to confront and overthrow his enemies and "deliver [his] life from the wicked by the sword." (Psalm 17:13).

The lesson for me in this verse is to always seek refuge in God. Even when I am being attacked, even my enemies surround me, I should not take the battle up on my own, nor act in my anger or my fear, but run to the safety of our Father, who will "keep me as the apple of [His] eye", (Psalm 17:8) and take care of things in the best way possible.
