Ezekiel 34:25-27. God is promising to make a new covenant of peace with his people. He will banish the wild beasts from the land so they can dwell securely in the wilderness and sleep in the woods. He will shower blessings upon them. The earth will bring forth a great bounty for them and they shall be secure in their land once he breaks the bars of their yoke and delivers them from those who enslave them.

I really do feel like a man-made yoke has been placed upon all of us these days and we have been enslaved (with the softest of gloves, to be sure, but enslaved nonetheless). So I hold on to God's promise. He will eventually break the yoke and free us, and when He does He will shower blessings upon his faithful ones.

Notice that He will drive the wild beasts from the land so that His people can dwell securely in the wilderness and the woods. As long as we are here on earth, we are in the wilderness and the woods, but when God reaches down to save us, He drives the bad things away so that we can dwell securely here. All of his creation was meant for us, all of it is good, even the wild and woody parts. We are meant to be there, we are meant to be everywhere in this world.

Once he frees us, He will make it safe for us by clearing the way - ridding us of the evil spirits that will try to ensnare us again.
