Jeremiah 9:17-19. As God is allowing the fall of Jerusalem due to the people's failure to walk in his ways and heed his prophets, He tells Jeremiah to call for the mourning women and the skillful women. Let them come and raise a wailing over the people that the people's eyes may run down with tears. They will wail "How we are ruined! We are utterly shamed."
I have found that often women see patterns sooner or better than men. Perhaps that is why God is telling Jeremiah to send for the skillful women. Women pay attention to people and to their feelings. They are often better at understanding why someone may be acting the way they are acting, or at seeing how someone or something brought about certain consequences, becuase they are usually more in tune with the emotional side of people (and people do not always act rationally, especially when deep in the grip of sin)!
So when God allows the destruction of Jerusalem and all the (extremely bad!) suffering that comes along with it, it will be the women who first see that the people brought it on themselves. The destruction is a just outcome because of their very sinful behavior, and it is really a loving outcome because it will save them, but it will be very difficult. The skillful women will see this and their wailing will teach others.
