Isaiah 45:17. "But Israel is saved by the Lord with everlasting salvation; you shall not be put to shame or confounded for all eternity."

There may be other nations with greater wealth than earthly power than Israel; there may be times Israel is belittled, mocked, and even persecuted and killed; it may often feel to Israel that they are forgotten, but they are not and never will be.

Remembering that the Church is the new Israel, we are comforted by Isaiah that Israel's salvation, and ours, is an everlasting one. They, and we, shall not be put to shame for all eternity. Remembering this promise, which is true, is essential to get us through the injustice of this world and this life.
