Alicia's Bible Blog

This is not one of my typical Bible posts, but rather a journal entry I wrote this morning. In my dozy, half-sleep stage last night I was thinking about ones and zeros, for some reason. (You have probably already noticed that my brain works in very odd ways!:) I'm not sure I remembered it all as I wrote it, but here is what I wrote when I woke up.

Ones and zeros are the binary numbers used by computers. All of our technology is based on those two digits. I believe that technology, artificial intelligence, especially, but all of it, and everything else that is coming down the pike, is the main avenue for the preparation of humanity to accept the spirit of the Antichrist in our age. Technology in its various forms has lured many into a false reality, a comfortable, "feel-good" place where dopamine hits and an orchestrated sense of community keep people coming, but where uncomfortable truths are banned as misinformation and truth seekers are banned as dangerous conspiracy theorists.  AI is programmed and trained to promote this false consensus, and as it gains more control over our lives, it and its handlers will not spare those who threaten the narrative. And it all comes back to ones and zeros, to choosing or programming one result over another.

The binary nature of how technology works speaks to quantum theory, much of which hangs, in very simplistic terms, on choices, or one thing being "observed" instead of another. I wrote about this on Reddit before I had a blog in My (lengthy!) ruminations on Quantum Theory and God. I was inspired to write that post (and it was a very strong inspiration, I felt I had to start writing as soon as possible!) one day while in Mass, when one of the readings was James 1:1-11 (notice all the ones!), in which James talks about a man who doubts as a man of two minds, being tossed about like a wave on the sea by the wind. This, again, is binary.  A man of two minds cannot receive wisdom, because he sees "both sides" of everything instead of seeing through the eyes of faith. He therefore cannot decide anything, he cannot receive truth, he doubts, and he lets the waves of the world toss him about as they will. The fallen world very often lies to us. It is much easier to see those lies when one does not doubt that there is an objective Truth, and tries to seek that Truth. That Truth is God, and those who seek Him will find it.

Back to ones and zeros, then. Zero represents nothing, while one, if there are only ones and zeros, represents everything. It is like being and non-being, life and death. One is full of something, while zero is empty of everything. But zero's place, when used in a larger number, once contained a lot - for example, in the number 1,000,000, each zero represents a placeholder that has been filled to the max and its quantity then moved on to the next level, leaving behind an emptiness, but one that must remain in place for the total number to be complete.

As long as time and the universe exist, the laws of physics, including quantum physics, to the extent it is correct, will be in place. Thus, the binary nature of every choice will remain and will affect all of the universe for all of time, but remember that everything that happens is permitted and "observed" by our all-knowing, all-seeing God who, who is outside the universe and who has a plan that has existed since the beginning of time. That plan is to bring all of creation back to Him - to reconcile everything back into His Oneness. If God is "Oneness", then, what is zero? God tells us we have to choose between life and death. In that case, one represents life, and zero, death. One is everything, and zero is nothing. One is heaven, and zero is hell. Unless and until God's plan is complete and He has reconciled all things to Himself, humanity has the choice not to be reconciled, we have free will, and therefore the ability to choose the nothingness of zero. So while time and the universe exist, that is, for all of eternity, there must be the zero, the other choice, the nothingness that is actually being filled until it reaches its max and then is emptied, becoming a placeholder for what once was. If this happens at all, it cannot and will not happen until the end of time and the universe. Thus, I was thinking, the One and the zero will remain, but when everything, including time, comes to an end, which will not happen until God decrees it to, and He does all things for good, zero will be empty, and only the One will remain. I got to the end of this and realized how much it ties in with my thoughts in To Be Continued... Until It's Not.
