Acts 17:10-15. Paul and Silas are sent away from Thessalonica in the night to Beroea, where Paul goes immediately to the synagogue and starts preaching. The Jews in Beroea are "more noble than those in Thessalonica," and receive Paul's teachings eagerly. They scour the scriptures to see if what he is saying could be true, and many of them come to believe, including "not a few Greek women of high standing, as well as men." But when the Jews of Thessalonica get word that Paul is now teaching in Beroea, they come and begin starring up trouble against him there. So Paul is sent away to Athens immediately, but Silas and Timothy remain.
What a great example of how the fire of the Holy Spirit will not be quenched! Paul is driven out of Thessalonica for his preaching and immediately continues in Beroea. He does not take time to assess the situation, he can't keep the good news in, he just begins preaching there! And because of his fire, others are kindled. The people listen eagerly, and many are converted!
We can tell when someone is sincerely excited about something they are talking to us about. When they can't keep in good news it is contagious. We are all called to be like Paul - don't think about the consequences, just proclaim Christ in everything, to everyone, everywhere, all the time!
