2 Chronicles 32:25 "But Hezekiah did not make return according to the benefit done to him, for his heart was proud. Therefore wrath came upon him and Judah and Jerusalem."

How can we possibly make return to the Lord for all of the benefits done to us? Everything we have, even our very existence, is an undeserved gift from God. We cannot return anything to Him that He has not given us. But we can love Him and others, and that is the return He is looking for.

If we fully appreciate that everything is a gift from God, we will praise Him and bless Him always in our hearts; we will return to Him through love what He has given us in love. Hezekiah was a good king who grew proud and, when he was dying, prayed to God. God saved him, but Hezekiah did not fully appreciate what God had done for him, and did not return God's gift in love, especially to the nation for which he was responsible. He knew God's wrath would eventually fall on Judah, but he was content enough that it would not fall during his lifetime. He did not strive for his people to have the same gift that God has given him - extended life in peace.

True love wills all good for the beloved. This is how God loves us, and this is how we are to love one another. When we come to realize God's tremendous love and His benefits for us, we are not meant to just be grateful that they are there for us. In fact, we are not fully feeling His love if we do not want others to have the same benefits we do. God's love is so unfathomable, there is more than enough for everyone, not only that, but it grows as we pass it on. We can return His love for us, His benefits done to us, by loving Him and helping others experience His love and benefits, as well.
