Job 38:29. "From whose womb did ice come forth, and who has given birth to the hoarfrost of heaven?"

This is part of God's "answer" to Job, in which God points out the power, vastness, and complexity of the universe, and questions Job right back, asking him who he thinks is overseeing all of this.

I have to say, other than keeping my drinks and refrigerator cold, ice and frost are not things I typically think of when counting my blessings. But here God is reminding Job that they come from Him, He even essentially says He gave birth to them. All of God's Creation is good, including ice and frost, and they both have a beautiful purpose in His Creation. So instead of thinking of treacherous roads and slippery sidewalks, I am trying right now to see ice and snow the way God sees them. I am thinking of how beautiful trees can be when ice forms on every twig and branch and the sunlight hits them, and how lovely a fresh snow makes the whole world look. One time the frost that formed on my windshield overnight was so beautiful, I took a picture of it!

One of the Canticles included in the Liturgy of the Hours is part of the song from the fiery furnace. In it, various aspects of Creation are called upon to bless the Lord, their Creator (Daniel 3:23-24). I am often struck with some of the things called upon to offer their praise, like whales, lightening, clouds, and winds. This song of praise also includes the words "Bless the Lord, ice and cold, sing praise to him and highly exalt him for ever. Bless the Lord, frosts and snows, sing praise to him and highly exalt him for ever."

Today’s verse from Job and this Canticle of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego from the fiery furnace are good reminders that parts of nature I can think of as dangerous or frightening are nonetheless good parts of God's Creation. Everything God has created is good. They all serve His purposes, and offer their praise to Him simply by doing so.
