Malachi 1:2 "'I have loved you,' says the Lord. But you say, 'How hast thou loved us?'"

 

Why do we question God's love for us when the evidence is everywhere? Every breath we take is proof of His love. We wouldn't exist, nor would this beautiful world, but for His love. All we have to do is look at the smallest piece of Creation to see His love and care. The detail, the beauty, the connectedness of everything all point to a Creator acting with perfect love.

 

Yet we still ask God how He has showed us His love. We look to the struggles, the crosses, the imperfections of life and see them as examples of Him not loving us. How can an all-loving God let us go through all of that? Why didn't He fix it for us, the way we wanted?

 

Even the struggles and crosses, though, are proof of His love. They are our path to Heaven, there is no getting there without them. And He walks with us through them, loving us, knowing that they are making us ready for eternal life with Him, where we will know His love completely.
