Ezekiel 47:23. "In whatever tribe the alien resides, there you shall assign him his inheritance, says the Lord God."
In the 25th year of the Jewish exile, Ezekiel had a series of visions including what the new temple would look like and how Israel was to be apportioned among the tribes when they were brought back from exile (see Ezekiel 40-48). This verse comes at the end of the apportionment of the land and refers to "aliens who reside among you and have begotten children among you." These aliens are to be treated as native-born sons of Israel. (Ezekiel 47:22).
This is another hint, of many throughout the Old Testament, that God wants to save all of humanity, not just the Jews. He wants us all to become His chosen people. Notice, though, that the alien must be living among the Jews and must have begotten children there. In other words, the alien must be living as a Jew; he must accept the ways and beliefs of the chosen people as his own in order to become one entitled to the same inheritance. When Christ comes much later, He will make it clear that He has come for all, but also that only He is the way to salvation. Salvation is through Him, we all must accept Him and live as sons and daughters of God in Him in order to be allotted our inheritance.
