Sirach 7:29-31. Sirach reminds us to honor God's priests. "With all your might, love your Maker, and do not forsake his ministers. Fear the Lord and honor the priest, and give him his portion, as is commanded you."

God gave us priests as a gift - men who give up so much in order to not have attachments to worldly things and be better able to serve us, to guide us, and to instruct us in proper worship. It is up to us to make sure they are cared for, honored, and thanked.

When we honor God's priests, we honor Him. They are close to His heart and have a very special role to play in His plan and our lives. We must never forget them or take them for granted.
