2 Chronicles 22:5-6. Ahaziah is king of Judah, and "he did what was evil in the sight of the Lord." Following his evil counselors' advice, he and Jehoram, also known as Joram, the king of Israel and son of Ahab, go to war against Hazael, the king of Syria. Joram is injured in that battle and Ahaziah goes to see him because he is sick.

So here we have two very bad kings, who go to war together unsuccessfully and one is injured. But the other goes to visit him because he is sick. So Ahaziah is following God's commands here, he is visiting the sick (ultimately, this is it will be Ahaziah's downfall, but he doesn't know that).

This is a lesson, again, that no one is fully evil or fully good. We all have both in us and we are all each capable of doing terrible things one moment and very good things the next. So while we must protect ourselves and others from people who are pursuing the wrong course, and are even pursuing an evil course, because they will bring the consequences of that evil into their lives and the lives of those around them, we must also recognize that everyone is capable of good. God knows that, he loves us for the good that he has created us to be and our hearts are happiest when doing his will. He will judge each of us based on the good we have done and tried to do for him.

The rest of us must protect ourselves as best we can from the evil in this world and the people under its influence, but we must also learn to love our enemies and pray for them.
