Lamentations 3:58 "Thou hast taken up my cause, O Lord, thou hast redeemed my life."

 

How much more should we be aware of this than Jeremiah was since we have seen what Jesus did for us? He has taken up the cause of every single one of us and redeemed each of our lives. The price has been paid, all we need do is accept the gift.

 

It is mind-boggling how much God loves us when you really think about it. One of the surest signs of our fallen state is the fact that we don't. We so easily forget about God and what He has done and is willing to do for us. We sideline His power and rely on ourselves or other people when the Creator of the universe is right there, ready, willing, and able to defend, protect, and provide for us!

 

No one will ever love us and care for us the way God does, no one possibly could. He showed Jeremiah this, and has shown us even more so by sending His only Son to take up our cause and redeem our lives.
