Isaiah 46:4 "[E]ven to your old age I am He, and to gray hairs I will carry you. I have made, and I will bear; I will carry and will save."

 

I can't express how beautiful I find this! He has made and He will bear - oh my goodness! God doesn't make anything He doesn't love, He is love, everything in Creation springs from and is filled with His love. He not only loves us, He claims ownership of us: we are His, and He is all-powerful, able to carry any burden, able to save even the most lost.

 

He will carry us, even as we grow old, gray, and weak, maybe even especially then, if it takes us that long to give up our pride and self-reliance: "these things you carry are loaded as burdens on weary beasts" (Isaiah 46:1). We truly have nothing to worry about, all we have to do is surrender ourselves to Him and allow Him to carry our burdens. He will not bow down or stoop under their weight, it is nothing to Him. He will carry and He will save.
