2 Maccabees 1:10. "Those in Jerusalem and those in Judea and the senate and Judas, To Aristobulus, who is of the family of the anointed priests, teacher of Ptolemy the king, and to the Jews in Egypt, Greeting, and good health."

This salutation is written by the victorious Jewish brethren in Jerusalem who are sending missives to the various Jewish groups and people elsewhere to tell them their story and remind them of the goodness of God and the necessity to keep His appointed feasts.

This reminds me that it is important for me to tell others what God has done for me. I think this journal is partly born of that. God truly has reached down and saved me from the depths of despair. I owe everything to Him! He has performed miracles in my life, and continues to bless me abundantly. Even as I struggle with many very worrisome worldly things, I know that I am always held in the palm of His hand, just as all His faithful are!

Our God is in complete control. He will preserve us from every evil and vindicate His holy ones. Blessed be the Lord!
