Luke 17:13 "[They] lifted up their voices and said, 'Jesus, Master, have mercy on us.'"

No matter where we are in life, what we've done, who we've hurt, how addicted we are, how lost we feel, how dirty we have made ourselves or allowed ourselves to become, how much pain we are in, this is all we need to do - lift up our voices and say "Jesus, Master, have mercy on us." His mercy is burning to be released, all we need do is ask, and it will pour over us in all its abundance.

Coincidentally (or not, actually), today's Psalm at Mass was Psalm 51, David's plea for mercy after realizing his sin in taking Bathsheba and murdering her husband. King David is still King David, even after all that, all he had to do was ask for mercy.
