Hebrews 6:13. "For when God made a promise to Abraham, since he had no one greater by whom to swear, he swore by himself".

Just this morning, a friend ended a text to me with "You're the best" and my reply ended with "You're the best, too! (Which I guess means neither of us are, and there is a "best" greater than both of us!)."

God is the best, He is absolute perfection, He will not make a promise or even say a word that will not come to be. What He says, is. He is the standard of and basis for all things. Just as Abraham waited and trusted, and, "having patiently endured, obtained the promise" (Hebrews 6:15), so will we all in God's time, which will be the exact right time because He's the best!
