Psalm 132:10 "For thy servant David's sake do not turn away the face of thy anointed one."
Psalm 132 is a reminder of what David has been through and done for God's sake, and also a reminder of God's promises to David. One of God's promises to David is "One of the sons of your body I will set on your throne." (Psalm 132:11) So David is God's anointed one, but another anointed one will follow. This other anointed one, or Messiah, Jesus Christ, will occupy the throne forever. God promised this to David and it was "a sure oath from which he will not turn back". (Psalm 132: 11).
God kept this "sure oath" by sending His own Son, Jesus, who made promises to all of us - that He will be with us always, even until the end of time; He will never turn His face from us (although we often do from Him, and then blame Him for turning from us); He will always seek us, we just have to let Him find us.
Jesus intercedes for us with the Father in words similar to this verse, and He teaches us to do the same. "For the sake of His sorrowful passion, have mercy on us and on the whole world", He taught us to say through St. Faustina.
Lord, for your Servant's sake, do not turn your face from us.
