Song of Solomon 4:8. "Come with me from Lebanon, my bride; come with me from Lebanon. Depart from the peak of Amana, from the peak of Senir and Hermon, from the dens of lions, from the mountains of leopards."

I know this is Old Testament, but I can never read Sing of Solomon without thinking of Christ, who loves us like a groom loves His bride! He wants us to come with Him. He wants to draw us away from any and all danger and lead us to a perfect place. He is desperate to do that for us, He is so in love with us! Why do we resist Him? Why do I resist Him?

I don't want to think about how to avoid the lions anymore, I want to be loved and be in safety. And that is just what He wants to give me. My safety, though, is in Him, and in heaven. The safety He gives me on earth is not to be afraid of the lions. They can only kill my body, but they have no power over my soul.
