Romans 1:1-3. "Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, set apart for the gospel of God which he promised beforehand through his prophets in the holy scriptures, the gospel concerning his Son, who was descended from David according to the flesh".
Sometimes I get frustrated with people who do not yet see that God is doing something big right now. It just seems so obvious to me, and I can't see how they don't see it and just seem to go through every day as if things are relatively normal. Life and world-changing events seem to last no longer than the news cycle in their memories. But then I think of Paul, who lived through the most life and world-changing event to ever happen, the Incarnation, Life, Passion, Death, and Resurrection of the Messiah he knew was "promised beforehand", and it did not have any effect on him at all at the time. He was oblivious, blind, and, later, merciless in his persecution of those who had seen and did allow Jesus to change their lives.
God eventually got to Paul on the road to Damascus, calling him to be an apostle at the time and in the way He knew would be best. I have to remember that God will do the same for all of us. I certainly was not always aware of God's movements in the world and my life. I thank Him every day for waking me up, but He did it when the time was right for me to accept it. He will do the same, or try to, at least, for all the people with whom I am frustrated.
Meanwhile, my frustration is my own sin. If I saw everyone the way God does, I would look at them with love and understanding, and pray for them. That is what I've been trying to do when I find the negative emotions rising and, I must admit, I am much more at peace for it.
