Numbers 31:50. "And we have brought the Lord's offering, what each man found, articles of gold, armlets and bracelets, signet rings, earrings and beads, to make atonement for ourselves before the Lord."
Yesterday was the Feast of the Guardian Angels and my friend sent me a video of Father Chris Alar explaining what we believe about our guardian angels. One thing he said was that at Mass, the guardian angel of each person present approaches the altar during the consecration. They kneel there and, in cupped hands, offer each of our sacrifices to the Lord, to be united to His.
I thought this was so incredibly beautiful! It made me start thinking about what sacrifices I am making for the Lord. I'm going to start being more aware of giving my guardian angel something to take to the altar each time I attend Mass, I don't want him to go up there empty-handed!
