Isaiah 47:14-15. God is speaking to his people as his bride who He has allowed to suffer the consequences of going astray. He tells them that the many counselors they have been pursuing and following are "like stubble, the fire consumes them; they cannot deliver themselves." And that flame is no fire to warm oneself by! These are the people they have labored and trafficked with, "they wander about each in his own direction; there is no one to save you."

The last line reminds me of the repeated line in the book of Judges that "In those days there was no king in israel, and everyone did what was right in his own eyes." In both cases, there is no one to save them, because they are not worshiping or obeying the right king. God is our first love and our only true king. When we don't love him and follow him we suffer great consequences. We open ourselves up to the influence of others who may not be bad people in and of themselves, but are wandering about "each in his own direction." We can follow them into the consuming fire before we even realize what we've chosen.
