Psalm 139:5-6. "Thou dost beset me behind and before, and layest thy hand upon me. Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is high, I cannot attain it." David is proclaiming his joy and wonder that God has searched him and knows him, completely and intimately, and is always with him.

God really is behind us and before us and with us always. He has searched and knows the depths of her hearts, and watches our every movement and moment. When I really think about this, I feel the same joy and wonder that David did! How can it be that the God who created the entire universe, and holds it all in His loving hands, spends so much time and attention on me?

There are times when even those we love the most turn away from us, or do not have time for us, and it can hurt terribly, but that is never the case with God. He's so crazy about us and has infinite time for us. His loving attention is on us even when we don't know Him or appreciate Him!

This knowledge really is too wonderful and too high to attain. We cannot figure it out or understand it, but we can feel in our hearts that it is true, and simply bask in His love and His attention.
