Proverbs 12:12 "The strong tower of the wicked comes to ruin, but the root of righteousness stands firm."
There are a lot of "strong towers" I have been waiting to see fall, but I have come to terms with the fact that I may not live to see that. They will, nonetheless, come to ruin eventually, and I do see some cracks in their foundations. I have also been waiting to see some growth from the root of righteousness, and trying to encourage that growth when I can. I have also come to terms with the fact that I may not live to see the full flowering of that root. It will, nonetheless, grow and flower eventually, and I do see some tendrils coming forth, tendrils which are contributing to the weakening of the towers.
God's plan is being carried out, as it always has been and always will be. The wicked rise and fall, their towers are built and come to ruin. To my mind, one such tower is under construction right now*, artificial intelligence, and all that it requires to function. AI is, I believe, a modern Tower of Babel. I know, though, that every time we build the Tower of Babel it eventually comes to ruin.
We can only try to compete with God for so long before the root of righteousness, which is always steady and strong, even when small and hidden, bursts forth and crumbles our seemingly strong towers. Thank goodness!

*No, not the Obama Presidential Library, but man, is that ugly or what?! If ever a tower was deserving of coming to ruin based on looks alone, it's that one!
